Q. How much does it cost to advertise my home with kenthouseads?

A. £99 including the 'For Sale' board or £89 if you do not want or cannot use the board, for the adertise until sold option, or £35 per month on the monthly option. There is nothing else to pay, not even VAT.


Q. Will I pay kenthouseads anymore when my house sells? 

A. No. The fee you pay to advertise is all you will pay, there are no hidden costs and no commission.

Q. Don’t I legally need an Estate Agent?

A. Not at all, essentially, estate agents just introduce buyers to sellers, many have no vocational qualifications and certainly no legal standing.

Q. How is the site promoted?

A. We advertise in local press such as the Kent on Sunday and Saturday Observer. The site is also optimised on search engines such as Google and Yahoo. 

Q. Will my house appear in the newspaper?

A. Yes. We guarantee, within our control, Your home will appear in our advert in the Saturday Observer and Kent on Sunday Review magazine, where all the Agents advertise (with until sold and monthly options). This is a unique feature of kenthouseads.co.uk, some other private sales sites advertise in the press but charge an additional premium for this.


Q. Where else will my home be advertised?

A. As well as appearing on our homepage 'Featured property' section, your home will appear on Fish4homes.co.uk, home.co.uk, and propertyforkent.co.uk as well as many other smaller sites. These sites and kenthouseads.co.uk combined, attract over 2 millions visitors a week, giving your home excellent exposure.

Q. I’m not great with computers, I’ve never attempted to do anything like this before, is it easy?

A. We have worked hard with our web designers to make the whole process as easy as possible, if you can write a document on your computer you can upload details of your home. If you really feel you cannot upload your advert yourself, send us all the details and we will do it for you. Information we need.

Q. Can I talk to a human if I get stuck?

A. Yes, our office hours are between 2pm and 8.30pm, Monday to Friday and 2pm to 7pm Saturdays, this is to cover our busy periods when most people will be uploading to our site our number is 01233 660436.

Q. I’m already with an Estate Agent; can I advertise my home with kenthouseads.co.uk?

A. Yes. However, we advise you check your contract with them, selling privately with kenthouseads.co.uk should not affect a sole agency agreement. We strongly recommend you tell your agent that you are advertising your home elsewhere so there is no confusion when you sell through kenthouseads.co.uk., you always have the right to sell your home privately.

Q. Can I alter my advert once it is live on the site?

A. Yes. When you register you will have a members login, you will have complete control over your advert. You can change any aspect of your advert anytime of the day or night as often as you like, there will be no charge for this.

Q. Will you erect the sign for me?

A. No, this is seen by the OFT as an Agency service, therefore you will have to erect the sign yourself, we will supply fixings enabling you to do this.

Q. Do I get the pole with the sign?

A. No, it would not be cost effective to send it through the post; you can buy a length of 2”x 2” timber at any DIY store for approximately £3.00.
